PRAY FOR THE NEW CHRISTIAN NOVEL WITH THE HUGE MESSAGE

Humbly, I ask for your prayers. I am about to begin submitting manuscripts for the Short in Height, Tall in Courage novel to publishers. Today's publishing business is cold and requires huge time and monetary commitments from writers. It comes down to grabbing the attention of an editor at just the right moment - that's why you need God's intervention to have a chance. My books are steeped in Christian truths and practices. Publishers call themselves Christian publishers, but many do not want your holy, holy scripts. I do not bend. If they don't want the Christian message, they don't want me. Faith is my main spiritual gift, writing talent follows, but I promised my writing to God and God alone after my war experiences. Money means nothing in my writing. Getting God's message out there is everything. For His glory.

This novel gives readers a whole new perspective of Africa and its peoples. It contains Christians of powerful faith and a willingness to sacrifice for that faith. If you have lost the excitement that comes with the dangers and adventures of serving our Lord, hopefully, this book will restore that sense of God's presence and his exciting lifestyle that He offers to us with faith. Love you all!

Sowing Seeds

You are attempting to have a rational conversation about a real concern in life. When you attempt to civilly rebut a fact they have used with universal truths, all you receive is yelling. The yelling tactic is one used by children and adults that do not want to know the truth - just their perceived or desired truth. The world is overflowing with those reactions today.

As a Christian, leave them quietly with the truth, then walk away. You have done your duty and thrown the seed. Perhaps it will take hold and grow. Your duty to our Lord is not to argue fruitlessly till the cows come home - bang your head against a wall. Present the truth: throw the seed. Mission complete.

Lukewarm Christian?

In my experience, there are four main categories of Christians: Serious, Bookshelf, Checkbox, and Tourist. The Serious Christian leans on our Lord and faith in Him. Bookshelf Christians go to church on Sunday then go home, put Jesus on the bookshelf until next Sunday, and never think about their duties, much less practice them. Many times they sit in the back pew fearing someone asking them to join or serve. Checkbox Christians, I used to be one of these, on job apps or forms requiring religious affiliations they check the Christian box, but do not attend a church and know little about the word. The Tourist Christian goes to church on Christmas and Easter then looks around commenting, "Isn't this beautiful, wonder how much they spent on this?"

As I stated, I used to be a checkbox Christian. I am not making humor, but hoping to inform people that God is patient and waits however long it takes to give them their gift of eternal life that excites him to no end. All He asks is to have faith and make a decent attempt at bringing him a disciple or two. Once you get to know our Lord by reading his word, you will understand that he will give you all the words, strength, and courage you need to gather those disciples with his Good News

Sadly, many think it is too easy to gain eternal life, but it is no joke or sinister plan to lure you into a cult. Steeped in the word of our Lord, we will recognize when someone is luring us the wrong way. In prayer, God will let you know who is and who is not. Love you all!

Underdog...?

As a Christian, how can you be the underdog when God is on your side. Stop attacking the attackers with the tactics of anger, that is their strong point, use love like Jesus taught us. You want to disarm your opponent? Love them. They'll never expect it, and therefore, will not be prepared to defend against it. So many Christians read the Bible religiously, then close it and proceed to go through life as if the Bible taught them some top secret information that they are to keep hidden within themselves.

Matthew 28:16-20 "Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted. Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."

Ask God for the courage, wisdom, words, and guidance to gather disciples. Go.

Produce Fruit!

Matthew 3: 7-10  "But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees coming to where he was baptizing, he said to them: "You brood of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the coming wrath? Produce fruit in keeping with repentance. And do not think you can say to yourselves, 'We have Abraham as our father.' I tell you that out of these stones God can raise up children for Abraham. The axe is already at the root of the trees, and every tree that does not produce good fruit will be cut down and thrown into the fire."

Get busy my brothers and sisters and produce fruit, bring disciples, look like a living, loving example of Jesus Christ. In the past, I have been as guilty as anyone of lazily going along on cruise control enjoying the life of a saved Christian, but it's time to take back control, and concentrate on saving lives for our Lord. You can do it. God will walk with you and give you all the strength and words you need. Do it for Him. He loves you. Look at the sacrifices the Ukrainian people are making against great odds. God is with them. Get up and ask our Lord to give you your marching orders. Love you all!

Enthusiasm Diluted with Caution

Be enthusiastic for Ukraine, but let's dilute that with caution. We do not want an all out war. The war in Ukraine is terrible, but a world war is worse to the millionth degree. As Christians, we are to always use prayer for God's advice and direction before intercession. Putin is being used by God for a reason like he used the Babylonian King, Nebuchadnezzar. And will turn his wrath on Putin after he has served God's will. Give God's will a chance, and lean on our Lord.

The largest and most far-reaching effects of war are deaths, funerals, prisoners of war that are tortured, the maimed that live with their tragedies for the rest of their lives, and the displaced and homeless. Enthusiastic patriotism in small doses at the right moments can be a positive, but in large doses, produce tyrants such as Hitler, Stalin, and Putin.

Love and pray for you all!
