Top Pic: my great-great-grandparents shortly after emigrating from Holland. They had previously emigrated from England due to religious persecution. They were Quakers.
#2 Pic: My great-grandfather with wife and children. My grandfather, John Carr, middle on top row.
#3 Pic: My grandfather and grandmother Carr after Oklahoma Land Run of 1893. He built a sizable ranch and farm in Central Oklahoma, as well as having a controlling interest in several producing oil wells on the family land.
#4 Pic: My Aunt Francis Carr, journalist and suffragette fighting for women's right to vote. At 70+ years, she could still jump in the air and click her heels at the monthly family cousin meetings, as we referred to them. Everyone that could play brought their instruments. After dinner, my Grandfather, also a preacher on Sundays at the church our family built and is still an active church at 100+ years, would give a short sermon and prayers. Then the furniture was scooted to the walls and the music and dancing began. No alcohol.

Jim Newton 04/28/2023. I don't write for money. I write for God's glory and to bring disciples for our Lord Jesus Christ. Furthermore, I'm not a hero or someone famous. I'm just me, an average American, living my dream of working for my Lord. Love you all!
