#3 Pic: My grandfather and grandmother Carr after Oklahoma Land Run of 1893. He built a sizable ranch and farm in Central Oklahoma, as well as having a controlling interest in several producing oil wells on the family land.
#4 Pic: My Aunt Francis Carr, journalist and suffragette fighting for women's right to vote. At 70+ years, she could still jump in the air and click her heels at the monthly family cousin meetings, as we referred to them. Everyone that could play brought their instruments. After dinner, my Grandfather, also a preacher on Sundays at the church our family built and is still an active church at 100+ years, would give a short sermon and prayers. Then the furniture was scooted to the walls and the music and dancing began. No alcohol.
#5 Pic: Two pieces of the future surround me, my youngest son and grandson. Two good Christians doing God's work. I highly recommend becoming a faithful Christian. Once my wife and I got serious about our faith, our lives changed in miraculous ways. We always thought our lives were really good, but now they have been blessed by God and he is leading us in a direction that I could not even imagine prior to buttressing our faith. I once blew Christianity off as a practice of boring -lifeless people. When I began to really study the Bible, the inspired word of God, and began to read books about apologetics, many written by previous atheists, God opened my eyes. I could see the light. The light overtook me and lit up my whole life. Please, listen to an old cynic that had his life notably improved by shutting my skeptical mouth and listening to the word of God. If you profess true faith, he will turn on a divine light in your life is the best way I can describe it. I had the seed planted as a baby. You may not have had that opportunity, but I am planting a seed in you by your reading this. Nourish it. Someday the time will run out. Come to him now while there is still time, my brothers and sisters. Contrary to what some say in ignorance or jealousy, we Christians of true faith love you all as brothers and sisters! We are different, because we are not of this world. Please, join us!
